ACARP: Good practice guide on cumulative impacts for the coal industry – Australia
In 2010, the Australian Coal Association Research Program (ACARP) provided funding, alongside Anglo American, BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance and Rio Tinto Coal Australia, towards the preparation of a good practice guide for the Australian Coal mining industry. The purpose of the guide is to enable the Australian coal mining industry to identify, assess and manage cumulative community, economic and environmental impacts. Although the primary audience for the guidance is for actors within the coal mining industry, it can also be used by local communities and civil society organisations to help inform them of how cumulative impacts may affect them.
